Our investment strategy takes into account that drug development is inherently risky. We therefore seek to maximize opportunities for development of promising compounds or devices, while minimizing the commercial risks related to the life sciences business. We are looking for technologies and development strategies that optimize the chance to provide clinical proof of principle in well-designed studies. Often at this point there is a strong case for an exit strategy or partnership.
To achieve this, we invest in experienced management teams and select technologies that generate drugs and devices that provide significant improvements to existing treatments or fill unmet medical needs.
Our geographical focus area is Europe and the US East Coast.
