Recurring questions to our investment prospects include:
- What products are in development, and which technologies will produce the products in the future?
- Do these products target unmet medical needs? What are the USPs compared to existing treatments?
- What is the size of the respective markets?
- What market penetration is expected?
- What is the competitive advantage over existing or competing products?
- Are proprietary technologies world-class and protected by strong IP?
- How much money is needed to reach the next value inflexion point?
- Is the management keen to present, and willing to execute, a clear strategy to exit?
- Does the business plan or executive summary present an overview of current capitalisation and a 3-5 years projection of capital requirements?
Forbion is aware that many start-up companies do not always have a full fledged management team in place. It is therefore essential that company founders are open to expanding the management, if and when necessary. One of our key strengths is helping to identify and attract talented managers with the appropriate skills.
